Use of Training Technologies for Development of Cadets’ Internal Motivation

Abstract

The important role of motivation for the effectiveness of human activity is confirmed in many psychological studies. A lot of researchers point out the importance of motivation for learning activities. At the same time, the problem of formation of educational motivation of students (especially, cadets) is developed much less than the motivation of schoolchildren. The purpose of the research is to find out the regularities and mechanisms of development educational motivation of students (cadets) and build a program for managing motivation with the help of psycho training. The methodological basis of the article is the principles of the system-based and activity approach in general psychology and pedagogical psychology; cultural and historical theory of mental development; the position of the theory of phased formation mental actions, understanding of educational activity in the concept of educational activity; general psychological notions about the motivation of activity  and psychological and pedagogical; the ideas of humanistic psychology about the personal potential of a person. The scientific novelty of the research is based on the results of the training of educational motivation, the psychological and pedagogical factors the development of the motivation educational activity are disclosed. In particular, the following scientific provisions are substantiated: 1. Under the influence of a special motivational training, there are significant changes in the structure of educational motivation. In particular, the influence of internal (cognitive) motivation increases. 2. The development of educational motivation in motivational training is facilitated by: group cohesion, familiarity with the theory of internal motivation and value regulation of activity, acquisition of goal-setting skills and experience of internally motivated behavior. 3. Specially designed psychological and pedagogical exercises of motivational training are an effective means of forming educational motivation. Conclusions. The most important motivational factors were the sense of competence, the need for knowledge, the ability to self-determination and goal-formation. The next stages of motivation - the consolidation of motivational beliefs, their influence on behavior, preservation of motivation - need further study.
