The Methodological Foundation of the Professiography in the National Police of Ukraine in Modern Conditions

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to substantiate a fundamentally new theoretical and methodological approach to solve the problem of professional and psychological selection of personnel to the National Police of Ukraine. The current state of the profession in the police is analysis, its main methodological shortcomings and the technologies of professional psychological selection are determined. Methodology. The methodological basis of the content of the publication is determined by the basic principles of psychological research - determinism, science, unity of consciousness and activity. In particular, the historical-comparative method was used to analyze the scientific origins of the profession, to compare the theoretical and methodological foundations of professional selection in the police-police in different historical periods of state development. The system-structural method is used to substantiate an effective system of professional selection, which allows to optimize the process of formation of professionalism and professional police environment. The logical-dialectical method was used to explain the patterns of interaction between different methodological approaches - professional, competent, systematic and acmeological at certain stages of becoming a police officer. The scientific novelty of the publication is to carry out for the first time in the Ukrainian profession a critical analysis of the current state of professional selection in the ranks of the National Police and to prove the need for systematic changes both in the principle approaches of selection and in assessing the prospects of professionalization of future police officers. Conclusions. The current stage of reforming the National Police of Ukraine requires significant changes in the theoretical approaches and methodological foundations of the creation of professionally educated and cultural staff. Careful work with candidates for the National Police, the content of their training, defining the prospects for professional growth and the formation of professional skill imply the creation of a coherent system of professional determination on the basis of interaction and interdependence of sound methodological approaches, which need professional and competent. The prospect of research and the implementation of their results in the practice of the profession in the National Police is to develop an effective methodological apparatus for professional selection and to ensure the educational process.
