Psychological Communicative Structures of Patronal Police Behavior in Professional Activity
Abstract
The purpose. The definition of the concept of the communicative competence as a condition for effective professional activity of patrol police is considered and analyzed in this article. The scientific approaches of many native and foreign researchers to the study of communicative constructs of patrol police officer’s behaviour have been worked out. Methodology. The components of the communicative competence and their role in the activity of the patrol police officer, namely: special knowledge in the fields of personality, group, communication psychology; communicative skills; correction and development of the backgrounds, necessary for successful communication; ability to perceive and evaluate oneself and others adequately and fully as well as relationships that arises among people; correction and development of the relationship system are determined. The communicative competence is interpreted as a complex, integrative, professionally important trait of a personality, which manifests itself in the ability and willingness to establish, support and develop effective interpersonal interaction in a variety of professional communicative situations. The main factors that determine the development and increase of the level of professional competence, which define the course and the result of the communication process and therefore, the success of professional tasks are proposed. The scientific novelty. It is found, that the communicative competence of the patrol officers of the National Police of Ukraine is a set of knowledge and skills with the help of which a person can communicate and interact in all the life situations, with different types of personalities, constructively, grounded on the acquired experience and the culture of communication. Conclusions. The specificity of the professional activity of patrol police officers, the importance of communicative competence in their professional activity, readiness and ability to communicate effectively with citizens in everyday life and in extreme situations are substantiated.
