Principles of Establishing Psychological Contact with Victims of Criminal Offenses Related to Domestic Violence
Abstract
Abstract. Obtaining verbal information from victims of violence is a complex and time-consuming activity. Such activity is even more difficult when the violence is of a long-term nature. After all, the constant feeling of danger, the expectation of a new outbreak of aggression, the feeling of helplessness, etc., causes severe psychological conditions and diseases in such persons. That is why, when communicating with such persons, the investigator must possess not only general communication skills and abilities, but also knowledge in the field of psychology. The purpose of the article is to define the principles of establishing psychological contact with victims of criminal offenses related to domestic violence, based on an understanding of the psychological states of such persons. To achieve the goal, general scientific methods were used: the method of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, analogy and modeling. Also, a special legal method is used to describe the behavior of the subjects of the conflict and to group the behavior patterns of the victims. Using a specific sociological method, available scientific research of domestic and foreign scientists is summarized. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the identification of technologies for combining knowledge of forensic tactics and psychology to determine the most effective ways of establishing psychological contact between the investigator and the victims during the pre-trial investigation. The combination of achievements of legal and medical sciences allows the investigator to thoroughly prepare for the conduct of verbal investigative (search) actions; take into account the consequences of systematic violence; choose communication tactics; react to its change in time and make adjustments. Using the recommendations of scientists (forensic, medical, psychological and psychiatric direction) to follow the sequence of the stages of asking questions
Keywords: forensic tactics; juveniles; pre-trial investigation; interrogation; evidence
