Abstract

Abstract. The scientific article is devoted to an in-depth study of issues related to the psychological and forensic characteristics of a minor victim with disabilities of psychophysical development, traumatized by the consequences of war. The relevance of the research work is due to the traumatic events of the war, which affect the mental and physical health of the child. The scientific developments highlighted in this article will serve as a basis for further scientific research. The purpose of the article is to study the peculiarities of the psychological and forensic characteristics of a minor victim who acquired mental and/or physical health disorders as a result of the criminal actions of the Russian occupiers. Research methods. A system of general scientific and special methods was used. The dialectical method contributed to the elucidation of issues related to the object of research in the context of a combination of practical and theoretical provisions. The historical-legal method helped to reveal the content of the main concepts of the study. The methods of formal logic, in particular, analysis, synthesis, deduction, induction, analogy contributed to a detailed study of the psychological and forensic characteristics of a minor victim with disabilities of psychophysical development, traumatized by the consequences of war. The scientific novelty consists in the disclosure of topical and problematic issues aimed at increasing the effectiveness of pre-trial investigation bodies, taking into account the tragic consequences caused by the aggressor country in relation to Ukrainian children. A set of recommendations on the use of aspects of the psychological and forensic characteristics of a minor victim who, as a result of the armed Russian invasion, received injuries that led to pathological changes in his mental and physical health, was formulated. The necessity of mandatory consideration during the psychological and forensic investigation of a minor of the specified category of his physical, mental, individual characteristics, experienced event, degree of consequences of trauma, social adaptability, etc. is substantiated. Conclusions. Since the beginning of the full-scale armed invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, children are daily exposed to psychological and physical violence by the occupiers: physical abuse, torture, rape, illegal detention, deportation, etc. The priority aspect of the state should be the protection and complete safety of children, however, at present, a considerable number of children do not receive adequate protection and assistance due to the inability of the state to take actions aimed at their liberation from the temporarily occupied territories. Actually, the constant stay under the psychological and legal pressure of the Russian aggressors provokes various pathological deviations in the child's mental and physical health. The analysis and in-depth study of the psychological and forensic characteristics of a minor victim with disabilities of psychophysical development, traumatized by the consequences of war should be carried out in connection with the directions of science that study psychological processes of a person, his state of health and his behavior. Such a comprehensive study of the identity of the minor victim will help the investigator in the successful implementation of organizational and tactical aspects during the pre-trial investigation.
