The issue of improvement of the psychological determinants’ psycho-correction level of the deviant personality’s behavior takes one of the significant places in the modern penitentiary practice. This problem is specifically found out in the lack of the goal-directed techniques of forming and developing the value orientations of the convicted which become apparent in the breach of the emotional-andcognitive as well as communicative area. This is very important for the process of psycho-prophylaxis arrangements directed to the resocialization of such persons in to the society and requires the complex approach to the psycho-correctional activities. The psycho-training activities of the prison psychologists are analyzed as one of basic conditions of psycho-correction effectiveness of the convicted in the specific conditions of the correctional institution. In general, the training activity is supposed to be the modern method of the group psycho-correction, the basics of which are founded by L. Wender, P. Schilder, T. Barrow, A. Wolf, S. Foulkes, W. Bion, T. Mine, S. Slavson, J. L. Moreno, and other. The terms «psychological correction», «non-clinical psychotherapy», «psychological rehabilitation», «psychological help» were considered as synonyms during the different periods of development of psycho-correctional techniques; however, the synthesis of this work is thought to be the group psychological training. Nowadays, the great experience of applying trainings in the different areas of human activities has been accumulated in the world, specifically in education, medicine, business, and politics. Besides, the modern training techniques directly related to the law enforcement activities are introduced in almost all developed countries, and it essentially promotes the effectiveness of such activities. In our opinion, the problem of the psycho-correctional work in the penal institutions could solved by using the goal-directed applying the current psycho-correctional methodical complexes, by the way of intensification of the psycho-prophylaxis arrangements. The development of the goal-oriented psycho-correctional training programs for the work with the special contingent and applying the training work in the activities of the prison psychologists as the method of the effective therapeutic effect on the deviant personality comes to the fore, so it is one of the most significant methods of the resocialization of a convicted person.
