The Components of Managerial Competence of the Pretrial Investigation Body Head of National Police of Ukraine

Abstract

Author in this article provided a definition of «managerial competence» of the pretrial investigation body head of National Police of Ukraine, it was also distinguished professionally important components, that determine managerial competence of the head (knowledge’s, abilities, skills, habits, capacities, features, motivation, outlook, experience). It was also described the content of these components 1) knowledge’s, abilities, skills are described through two directions – general and special; 2) habits through varieties; 3) capacities through their meaning for managerial activity (positive and negative); 4) motivation through the necessity, desire, striving, professional setting; 5) professionally important leaders capacities through list of certain leaders capacities; 6) outlook – through the word perception, word living and word understanding; 7) experience – through it’s meaning (it provides rationality, economy, effectiveness, and efficiency for managerial activity). The author refers to professional leadership qualities: selfconfidence, independence, enterprisingness, authority, moderate ambition, charisma, organization, entrepreneurship, etc. These leadership qualities are closely linked with other groups of qualities: a) intellectual (flexibility, insight, predictability, initiative, curiosity, reflectivity, prudence, self-criticism); b) emotional-volitional (selfcontrol, self-control, balance, tolerance, assertiveness, consistency, purposefulness, persistence); c) moral (discipline, responsibility, honesty, punctuality, honesty, decency, reliability); d) communicative (contact, tact, benevolence); e) social (diplomacy, tolerance, empathy, humanism, justice, demanding, caring, caring, politeness). These components of the managerial competency must become the criteria professionally psychological select of the candidates on the position of the head of the body of the pretrial investigation bodies of National police of Ukraine. There was donated, that only this will provide the strengthening of the professional kernel of the pretrial investigation bodies of National Police of Ukraine, increasing the quality and efficiency of their activity and the image of National Police of Ukraine.
