Features of Forming a Professional Style of Patrol Police

Abstract

The article presents the results of the empirical study of the peculiarities of the formation of the style of professional activity of Patrol Police (n=35) at the stage of professional self-realization. Through cluster analysis, respondents were divided into four clusters. Respondents who belong to the first and second clusters are self-proclaimed to be engaged in the chosen professional activity. Representatives of the first cluster exhibit flexibility of behavior, while representatives of the second cluster are inclined to act with caution. The third cluster includes respondents who need external approval of their professional activities. They are at risk to protect their own convictions, to emphasize their individuality in the field of education. Realists. Physically active. The professional sphere for them is the least relevant. One respondent entered in the fourth cluster. He chose the profession of a policeman under the influence of an external negative assessment of others. In professional activities is aimed at interpersonal interaction. He does not show perseverance, tends to avoid failures. He does not seek to learn. It is determined that the features of the self-regulation (planning, modeling, programming, flexibility of behavior), persistence, motivational orientation, readiness for risk, motivation for avoidance of failure, external positive motivation are determined by differential features of the style of professional activity of Patrol Police at the stage of professional self-realization.
